On June 23 2022 Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak officially approved the agreement increasing the number of ordered anti-aircraft missile systems PIORUN for the Polish Army.

 

MESKO S.A. in Skarżysko- Kamienna belonging to PGZ acquired the contract from the Armament Agency for the deliveries of 3500 Man-portable Air-Defence Systems PIORUN for Polish Armed Forces (3500 missiles and 600 gripstocks for PIORUN MANPADS) for the gross value of PLN 3.5 billion.

 

The first MANPADS will be delivered to Polish Army later this year. The deliveries will be continued in the subsequent years.
